2002 - Liberty Meadows Comic Strip
I created this for an online art contest. Frank Cho, creator of Liberty Meadows, used to have a weekly comic strip drawing contest. Each week the lucky winner would receive an original Liberty Meadows preliminary sketch signed by Frank. I just happened to be one of the lucky winners!
2002 - Conan the Barbarian (after Boris Vallejo)
I really enjoyed the old Savage Sword of Conan comic magazines that Marvel Comics used to publish. I loved the black and white artwork on the inside particularly that of John Buscema. Boris Vallejo created some of the best Conan artwork around as covers for this magazine. I was bored one day and decided to sketch one of the covers. The original cover can be seen below as the second image.
