I know that it's waaaaay late, but here was my Halloween illustration for this year. I never finished the color illustration, I only have the flat colors laid in. Maybe someday I'll get a chance to finish it up.

This is my latest Nebraska Cornhuskers illustration. To bad Jared Crick ended up being injured for this game. But seeing as how I did the original pencil drawing two months ago, there's no way I could have known that would happen. So I guess picking one player that ended up injured out of the last 12 years isn't bad. :)

Here's a teaser Halloween illustration for you. I took one of my 2001 Des Moines Jaycees illustrations and colored it up for my friend's Halloween party invitation. I'm a bit behind on my actual 2011 Halloween illustration, but plan to post it soon!
Colored in Photoshop CS4.
Here's a blast from the past, this is an illustration of a bucking bronco rider that I did for work as the cover to an invitation. Click on the image below to head on over to my wildlife illustrations page and check it out!

I drew this as a present for a friend of mine who moved away. She loves to bake, and cupcakes are her specialty. Not to mention that she decorated a mean cake, seriously, her cake decorating skills were out of this world! Thanks for all of your hard work Sara! (and all the cupcakes, yum!)

I, like most guys my age, love Star Wars. And my favorite character is, of course, Yoda! I drew this sketch while on vacation and watching TV with my Aunt Lois and Uncle Paul. I don't take vacations very often, so I thought instead of catching up on freelance work, I should do something for fun.

Also, for an added bonus, a sketchcard with artwork featuring (surprise, surprise) Yoda!

Last night I decided to mess around with my Copic Markers a bit. I don't have much experience with markers, but I think that this turned out to be a great first attempt!

Sorry it's been a while since my last update. I've been working on some illustrations that I couldn't show until they were printed. So with that said, here are the drawings I did for this year's golf outing invitations. I was able to complete two separate illustrations this year, one for the outside and one for the inside. Originally the inside illustration (the second one pictured below) was not colored as I ran out of time. I decided to color it after the fact.
The original drawings were done using pencils, Copic Inking Pens, and Copic Markers on 11x14 Stratmore Series 400 Smooth Bristol Board. The final color image was scanned in and painted in Photoshop CS4 using a WACOM Tablet.
I have lots more stuff I've been working on, so hopefully I'll post it soon!
This is my second digital painting. I created this for the car smashing party that we have every year at my buddy's house. It's always fun to take your frustrations out on a car with a sledge hammer! I placed a Camaro in the background as a joke on another friend stating that we were going to smash up his "Bumblebee" (and yes, I know that I forgot the black stripes on the hood...)

This is my first digital painting! I can't wait to get started on my next project...

I also found the remaining files for my Football Illustrations Gallery, they go all the way back to 1999. Wow... I figured that I might as well finish out this gallery too.
I found the remaining files for my Golf Illustrations Gallery, so now they date clear back to 2000. Wow, I can't believe that I've been doing them that long! That's eleven friggin years! I noticed that after looking at some of the older illustrations I feel considerably better about what I've been drawing lately! Now go check them out while I get started on this year's golf illustration...
I Updated my Golf Illustrations Gallery to include everything from 2010 through 2004. I'll add the older illustrations as I find them. Be sure to check it out!
I was asked to draw this for a presentation for work, I think it came out fairly funny.

Instead of buying roses this year, I decided to draw my girlfriend a picture of a rose, she's moving away this week, and I figured that she'd have to toss out real roses (not being able to take them with her because of having a carload of stuff) so I figured that this would be more fitting.

I was looking through an old sketchbook the other day and I found this quick sketch I think I did while stuck on the couch after one of my knee surgeries back in early 2008. Its of Hiro Nakamura from the now defunct NBC show Heroes.

Later I'll post some progress reports for my current ongoing projects.
